Logan: 7 Ways It Sets Up A Sequel

5. Attack Of The (Other) Clones

One of the biggest (and most devastating) moments of Logan comes just when it seems the movie has decided to pause. Resting up at the Munsun residence, X-24 - a clone of Logan - comes almost from nowhere to kill Charles Xavier.

It's an affecting scene, but also a deeply surprising one: not because of Xavier's death, which was bound to happen at some point, but because 'woah, clone!'

While that plays out across the movie, it's also worth considering the people behind it: Alkali Transgien. The mutants they'd created got away, and Zander Rice was killed, but as far as we know the company still exists - and it might have even had government backing.

That means Transgien could return in the future, and it also means that we might not have seen the last of the clones. If you can create such great weapons, why would you stop at X-24? Hugh Jackman may not return, but it doesn't mean we've seen the last of Transgien and their mutants programme.
