Logan Lucky Review: 6 Ups & 3 Downs

2. The Third Act Drags A Little

At 118 minutes in length, the film ends up running just a little too long in the final stretch. After a superbly entertaining introductory first act and a terrific second act that covers the central heist, act three over-extends itself and drags out its conclusion far more than is necessary.

It certainly doesn't sink the film, but the script and editing could absolutely be tightened up somewhat in the final half-hour, such that it doesn't grind to a halt quite so dramatically.

Trimming 10-or-so minutes off the back end would make the overall result feel so much tighter and decidedly less indulgent.
