3. It's R-Rated As Hell
It's been known for a while that Logan will be rated-R (largely thanks to the unfathomable box office success of Deadpool), and it's clear from the international red-band version of the first trailer that Mangold sure is taking that seriously.
A climactic sequence shows a p***ed off Logan readying his claws and then shoving them straight through a goon's head, with the claws protruding out the top of his dome.
It's a shocking image not only because of the graphic violence itself, but simply because audiences have been waiting for so long to see Wolverine move out of the PG-13 arena. Hopefully the movie will succeed enough to further prove to studios how profitable R-rated films can be.
