London Film Festival 2015: The 10 Films You Need To See

3. Youth

The Pitch: Michael Caine and Harvey Keitel are ageing creatives (conductor and director respectively) taking retirement in the Swiss Alps and recollecting on their lives and longstanding friendship in Paulo Sorrentino's English language debut. Why You Should Be Excited: Caine/Keitel is a delectable masthead and, churlish as it may be, Sorrentino going English means he'll be playing to a much bigger audience this time around. The Buzz: The film received broadly positive reviews from Cannes and subsequent festivals, with the praise for Caine's performance only offset by some complaints over the artistic direction. Personally, I loved it and can't wait to watch it again in a couple of weeks. When's It Released? 4th December (US), 15th January (UK)
