Trailer
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-JXnv9YZrcY&ob=av3e There are a few killer clues in the theatrical trailer; handheld video footage, psychiatric consultations and the obligatory door slam, but Amber Entertainment may be guilty of giving too much away here. When you put it alongside the viral video features on the films official website and hosted on various horror film sites, you can pretty much piece together the entire story. But such is so often the case with modern trailers- the trick as a movie marketer is to find the sweet-spot between intrigue and assurance. With horror trailers there is one important rule- get as many shocks and creepy images in there as possible to convince the audience that it will actually be enough to 'scare' them. Has Lovely Molly succeeded with this? Well it seems to have all the ingredients of a standard supernatural horror film, which is funny considering it boasts that it will 'redefine the genre'- there isn't anything to suggest that it will be a game-changer.

A movie lover like no other Chelsey has the likes of Hobo With a Shotgun sitting side by side with Hitchcock, Survival of the Dead next to Shakespeare. Of course she has a soft spot for horror and has been consuming all manner of the blood-thirsty and undead for as long as she can remember but also appreciates every aspect of global movie-making. Just don't get her started on Michael Bay- or Nicolas Cage......
