MACGRUBER first look!

macgruber Back in July, Obsessed With Film's conscious for quality, our U.S. reporter Ray DeRousse wondered if a MacGruber movie, based on the inconsequential Saturday Night Live sketch and featuring Will Forte and Kirsten Wiig reprising their roles as an odd 80's throwback style crime fighting duo (obviously based on MacGuyer), signaled the first sign of a coming apoclaypse. A particular aggrievance for Ray, was the casting of Ryan Phillipe and Val Kilmer who both should know way better than to fall down to these depths. As I don't watch SNL I'm a little ignorant on this but from watching a view sketches on youtube, it seems to be the usual situation involves MacGruber trying to stop a bomb going off whilst a personal issue distracts him with Wiig and the guest of the week. Apparentaly the bomb seems to go off virtually everytime, and the premise lasts half a minute long. But where's the 90 minute movie in that?
