It's been a long road, but after some couple of decades in development, it looks like George Miller's follow up to the crowning achievement in human culture 1985's Mad Max 3: Beyond Thunderdome is finally done. And to assuage any fan's fears that the extended production cycle might have resulted in a messy, too-many-cooks sort of a film, they've been treated to not one but now two totally badass trailers that make it look like the best film of 2015. Suck it, JJ Abrams. After a surprise debut at San Diego Comic-Con which served as the first glimpse at the film by anybody not working on it, Mad Max: Fury Road has finally been blessed with a proper, honest-to-goodness full length trailer. One that you might actually get to see in cinemas. Which, given how awesome it is, is quite the Christmas treat. Although, given the amount of death and destruction in it, you'd be hard-pressed finding a holiday release it's appropriate to attach to... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YWNWi-ZWL3c Regardless of how you see it, the Fury Road trailer is full of tantalising hints at what the film's actually going to turn out to be. The SDCC teaser had a fair amount of that, but Miller really goes whole hog with the teasing this time around. There are new cars! New bad guys! New innovations in explosive technology! New heroes! Mad Max might not even end up being the central protagonist! Huh wha? All of that's speculation for now, but isn't speculation fun? (Two theories enter, one theory leaves...).
