Maggie Grace Joins TWILIGHT: BREAKING DAWN
Maggie Grace, mostly known for her role in the earlier seasons of the groundbreaking TV series 'Lost', has decided to join the ever expanding cast of 'Twilight: Breaking Dawn'. The movie will act as the 'finale' in the (in)famous Twilight series and will be split into two parts, ala 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows'. The leggy star will step into the undead shoes of Irina, who is "a member of the Denali coven, considered cousins to the Cullen clan as the only other "vegetarian" vampire group. When Irina blames the Cullens for the death of her lover, her actions set in motion a terrifying chain of events." Yeap, again with the "vegetarian vampire" stuff. Don't get me wrong I admire vegans and their ability to restrain from meaty products, but vegan vampires?! That's just wrong in so many ways. What's next... vampires that turn into diamonds when they walk under the sun?! Oh wait.....that's right. Anyway, 'Breaking Dawn' is being helmed by Bill Condon, the man behind 'Gods and Monsters' and 'Kinsey', and is garnering even more buzz now because of that, seeing as both mentioned movies are actually pretty good. So maybe Condon will take the film to higher levels of quality and filmmaking, but then again maybe he won't. Come to think of it I have yet to care either way. My only interest in 'Breaking Dawn' is to see how the filmmakers bring (SPOILERS AHEAD) bone-crunching sex scenes (literally), a cesarean via Edward's fangs, and a werewolf falling in love with a newborn child to the big screen without causing massive shock and slight brain damage to hoards of screaming teenage girls worldwide. Maggie Grace can be seen next in the action romp 'Faster' alongside Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. As for 'Breaking Dawn: Part I', it opens on November 18, 2011.
