MAGNETO gets a Beast

A young Dr. Hank McCoy spotted in the production offices for the X-Men prequel.

I thought the project had been canned until 20th Century Fox could review the performance of X-Men Origins: Wolverine but not so, according to Latino Review. They recently had a set visit around the special effects department that were handling Hellboy II: The Golden Army when they stumbled across an actual photograph of a young Dr. Hank McCoy - a.k.a. Beast in regards to the Magneto prequel. The character was played by Kelsey Grammar in the last X-Men movie.

The picture showed a younger guy in the Beast getup leaping down. He was in the full blue costume with his long tail and you couldn't mistake him for anything other than Beast. The picture also had 'Magneto' written in the upper corner. Like I said, I was only able to see it for a few seconds, but it did not look like a computer rendered picture, it looked like an actor in full makeup. Nevertheless, Beast IS in the movie.
If it's going to be anything like the Wolverine spin-off, then we can expect many more of the characters from the X universe to appear in Magneto. David Goyer (Blade: Trinity, The Invisible) is still attached to direct from a script he adapted from Sheldon Turner (The Longest Yard). The movie would revolve around the younger days of Magneto discovering his powers are real as he tries to survive a war torn Poland as a Jew and also his early relationship with Charles Xavier and other X-Men mutants. Ian McKellen has probably already committed but it's likely a younger actor will be used for 80% of the film as he is likely to be depicted from his teenage years through his 20's and maybe 30's.
