Making A Murderer: 12 Documentaries To Binge-Watch Next

8. The Jinx (2015)

Set over six episodes, this HBO offering is a beautifully stylised examination of the life of recluse and real estate icon, Robert Durst and his involvement in a number of serious crimes. After seeing All Good Things, the fictional film based on his alleged crimes, Durst was so desperate to tell his side of the story that he contacted the films director and to the benefit of this resulting documentary was interviewed on camera at great length. As a suspect in the disappearance of his wife and a number of murders, Avery is a fascinating character who jumps from business mogul to reclusive weirdo in the blink of an eye. The wealth of footage and incredible access to witnesses and evidence sometimes lets this series border on feeling scripted, but maybe that's because fact is very often stranger than fiction. Where can you see it? You can see the trailer below and the full season on HBO and Sky Atlantic. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tEPG9z9rHsc
