3. Zack Snyders Visuals
Zack Snyder is a very much love him or hate him director. A lot of people take issue with his slow motion heavy, sometimes brash direction but one thing is for certain, his visuals are beautiful and its no wonder he was considered to take on the role of directing Superman after he brought to life 300 and Watchmen. Whilst I will be the first to prey for less slow motion from him, I cant wait to see his visual brought to the floor as he hopefully crafts a path for Superman as an individual. One of my problems with the movies in The Avengers Cannon is that they arent distinctive, they all have a very uniform set of rules and regulations that eventually blend them in to similar characters to the extent that they never feel like individuals...And dont even get me started on them all becoming walking, talking, awful line dispensers in Assemble. Whilst a film where all of the DC Heroes unite is the end goal, a strong sense of independence is needed between each character is needed to help them stand on their own two feet and make an individual film as exciting as the group one. Man Of Steel promises to take Superman in a completely different direction (visually) than Nolans very dark and real Batman series and I for one welcome the idea. As well as Zack Snyder being the perfect man for the job.
