8. It Will Show That Superman Cared About His Actions

Aside from that one moment after killing General Zod when he let out an almighty scream of frustration and regret at doing so, Superman didn't really seem to acknowledge the fact that his battle with the Kryptonian villain had resulted in severe devastation. Buildings were toppled, nearby civilians were obviously killed and those that weren't would have been either injured or terrified beyond emotional repair. But Batman v Superman will show that Superman actually did give a damn about being partially responsible for all of that occurring. It will show Superman being emotionally tormented by what he did. He will experience flashbacks and have a new moral code that completely rules out killing. Essentially, it will show that he did care and that his actions in Man Of Steel weren't without personal psychological consequences and that those actions actually meant something to him. Man Of Steel shaped Superman into the hero he will become in the DCEU franchise, and the criticisms levelled at him for his apparent apathy will be made redundant.
