6. It Will Show Superman Being Made Accountable For His Actions

Further emphasising the fact that there will be consequences for the devastation caused by the final battle in Man Of Steel , Batman v Superman will show that the Kryptonian hero is indeed being held accountable for his part in it. Man Of Steel ended with Superman dishing out a warning to the United States government that, if they want his help in the future, it will have to be on his terms. They did so, by helping him to get a job at the Daily Planet newspaper - which will allow him to keep tabs on events around the world without arousing any suspicion of his identity - but this made them look like absolute saps (seriously, destroy a city, then hold the government of the country the city is in to ransom?). Batman v Superman will show that the government didn't just let Superman off. They want him to be punished and learn for his mistakes and, even though there's nothing they can do to restrain him, they at least want him to make amends. Moreover, a large portion of the public will also let Superman know how they feel about his actions, which will make Superman feel accountable on a mental and emotional level if nothing else.
