Man Of Steel: 8 Ways Batman V Superman Will Make It Better
4. It Will Re-Emphasise Superman As A More "Realistic" Character
While Superman will never be "realistic" (a man who can fly is completely and utterly impossible, let alone everything else he can do), the fact is that Man Of Steel attempted to portray him in a manner that more closely depicted how he would be if he did really exist than ever before. Some people disliked this adaptation of the character. Superman is, after all, the iconic comic book character - but Henry Cavill's version didn't feel like he was adapted from a comic book at all. This Superman shares our human psychology. He is driven by emotions; desperation, anger, love and so forth. Was this a mistake? No, it absolutely wasn't. Batman v Superman will show that it was Zack Snyder's plan for Superman to be grittier and more "real" than previous depictions and not a comic book character. This is how Superman would act and feel if he did exist in the real world. Fans will come to appreciate this as his character develops and they will realise that his character arc in Man Of Steel was essential to that development.
