Marvel Cinematic Universe: 10 Small Moments That Would Make A Huge Impact

2. A Building From Another Franchise In The Background

This very nearly happened. Here's what went down - The Amazing Spider-Man's production designer, J. Michael Rivam passed away after suffering a stroke at the age of 63. Not only did he design the Oscorp Tower for the movie, but he had a great history of movie greatness that included The Goonies, The Colour Purple, A Few Good Men, Congo, Evolution and Django Unchained - not to mention the Iron Man movies. That design overlap, his unfortunate death allowing for the building of bridges and the stunning look of the Oscorp Tower was enough for Marvel Studios and Sony to have a discussion about including Oscorp in the New York skyline of the Avengers movie. Yes, the merged Marvel movie Manhattan skyline almost existed and it would have been amazing. With that in mind, any building from another franchise (Oscorp, the Baxter Building, the X-Mansion etc) appearing in a scene - even if it was merely on a television screen, for example - within the Marvel Cinematic Universe would drive fans crazy.
