Marvel Cinematic Universe: 10 Twists No One Will See Coming
2. Wolverine Joins The MCU
Spider-Man's involvement in Civil War has changed everything - living proof that characters fans thought were inaccessible to Marvel Studios can indeed join the MCU.
Under the right circumstances, such as a partner studio running a classic property into the ground, the House of M has demonstrated that these deals can be done.
Given that the subject of mutants has never been broached in the MCU, the arrival of Wolverine would be quite the curveball, and a headline-grabbing one at that.
Logan is a prime candidate for integration into the core Marvel movies line since X-Men rights holder 20th Century Fox appears to be done with him, and there are a number of creative ways he could be inducted to the fold.
If Marvel Studios was to spin a line of New Avengers movies out of Infinity War and its sequel, including Logan in the lineup along with the likes of Spider-Man and the Bucky Barnes version of Captain America would give them the makings of a grade-A team.
Wolverine is also a versatile beast, his near-immortality allowing him to exist way back in the MCU timeline, which creates the opportunity to make him a World War II-era Howling Commando in a period prequel.
Seeing him flying into battle alongside the likes of Bucky, Dum Dum Dugan and Cap would be incredible, although there's a minefield of continuity errors in the way.
