13. Ant-Man And The Wasp

It's tempting to image what Edgar Wright's long in-development take on the movie would've looked like (and maybe one day we'll get to visit an alt-dimension where that did happen), but the Ant-Man who did get - directed by Peyton Reed - was still a fun film, and a worthy addition to the MCU.

Although the end of the film very much sets up a sequel - and the addition of the wasp - the hype for it has definitely increased since Paul Rudd's scene-stealing turn in Captain America: Civil War.

More Rudd is rarely a bad thing, so it should be fun to have him back leading his own film, especially now he's far more confident in the role and established in the MCU. The addition of the Wasp finally puts a female hero in the title of a Marvel movie, and means things will have a slightly different feel second time around.

Release Date: July 6, 2018.
