For as long as Spider-Man has existed, a central part of his mythos has been his secret identity and how it plays into his interactions with the people in his life. Parker working for J. Jonah Jameson, a man who despises Spider-Man as much as Norman Osbourne, has always been the source of some good laughs as well as serious beats. The choice to unmask before the world changed the entire edict of the Spider-Man universe, and it was a decision many fans questioned at the time. But there's no doubt it was the watershed moment of Civil War, and no one exists within the MCU who can provide a similarly impactful scene.
