Marvel Civil War: 10 Incredibly Important Scenes We’ll Never See On Film
4. Clone Thor
At the end of the third issue, we see what we believe is the reemergence of Thor, missing and presumed dead, arriving to assist the pro-registration forces in their battle, and the tide is immediately turned in their favor. In reality, Iron Man and Reed Richards had unleashed their secret weapon, a clone of their Thor built from his Asgardian DNA. Stark and Richards believed they could control the clone, but the battle rages out of hand and the faux-Thunder God kills Goliath with a blast through the chest. Only the arrival of the Invisible Woman ensconcing the heroes in a force bubble protected them from a further murderous onslaught. This will likely not make its way into the films, because it's doubtful that we'll get a scenario where Thor is presumed dead, and the scene itself might be a little too dark for what Marvel is going for.
