MCU: 10 Behind The Scenes Feuds Marvel Studios Doesn't Want You To Know
1. Marvel Studios Vs. Marvel Television
This was alluded to in the slide about Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., but there's a huge divide between Marvel Studios and Marvel Television which has now been resolved...by Disney allowing Kevin Feige to have full and total control over Marvel Cinematic Universe stories on the small screen.
Before that, though, Isaac Perlmutter and Jeph Loeb (the former president of Marvel Television) were pulling the strings. Given the scraps Marvel Studios either didn't want or were forced to give away, it was clear from the start that these shows had only very vague links to the MCU.
Feige repeatedly dodged questions about why characters like Daredevil and Luke Cage couldn't appear in movies, and even admitted to having not watched the former's series at one point. He was clearly hands off, and no one can blame him for that when the likes of Cloak and Dagger, Runaways, and the later seasons of Jessica Jones received such tepid responses.
Now, all Marvel TV shows will head to Disney+ and be a big part of this shared world (they'll be essential viewing to understand the movies). In other words, Feige won again.
