MCU: 10 Cosmic Villains For Phase 4
1. Annihilus
Annihilus is a paranoid bug-like tyrant who is obsessed with his own survival to the point where he wants to eradicate all other life that could threaten his existence. His power lies in his Cosmic Control Rod, an artifact created from ancient alien technology and in the past he's even wielded Quasar's Quantum Bands to devastating effect.
Annihilus resides in the Negative Zone and from there he is able to build the Annihilation Wave, a wave of bug-like creatures that consume and eradicate entire planets.
What makes Annihilus the perfect cosmic villain is that he is a threat on a scale so large that it unifies entire empires against him. His motives are entirely selfish, he's remorseless and although he can be reasoned with and has been in the past, he doesn't need allies or bargains with the full strength of his Annihilation Wave.
The Chitauri invasion was one thing, but it looks like a small scouting force when stacked against the Annihilation Wave, meaning The Avengers, The Guardians of the Galaxy, The Kree, The Shi'ar, Thanos and even the remnants of races already defeated - the MCU would need every pair of boots on the line to repel the Annihilation Wave.
