8. Building An Army

Red Skull is, of course, the former leader of HYDRA. One of the many "perks" of that job was that he got to command an army that was large in number. If Red Skull found himself in space with nobody to control, he might have also found himself with withdrawal symptoms. There's a possibility he might have made a move to impose himself on some lesser beings in order to gather and control an army of them. Perhaps he could have done so in preparation for an invasion of Earth - or perhaps he could have done so on behalf of Thanos. There are even rumours that it might have been Red Skull who gathered and trained the Chitauri - the aliens who invaded Earth in the Avengers movie - on the Mad Titan's behalf.
