MCU: 10 Things We Already Know Will Happen After Avengers: Infinity War

Infinity War is going to change everything. Thankfully, we already know how.

Marvel films have been coming out more and more frequently ever since Iron Man kickstarted everything back in 2008. In 2017, we were treated to films starring the Guardians of the Galaxy, Spider-man and Thor. The year before that, Captain America (and company) and Doctor Strange. But this year promises to be the biggest and best yet.

And Infinity War is set to be the most revolutionary Marvel film since Tony Stark’s Iron Man publicly declared himself a superhero 10 years ago. A decade of sheer cinematic gold has been leading to the third Avengers film – a movie which is expected to see many characters move on, even more change and the entire universe revamped as a consequence of what happens within its two hour 36 minute run time.

Marvel chiefs have been particularly coy when it comes to April 2018’s blockbuster release. And that’s a good thing, as it leaves so much to the imagination. Who will die? Who will leave? Who will bring down Thanos? All answers will be kept under wraps and that means painting a picture of the MCU post-Infinity War is a tricky thing to do.

Thankfully, though, some individuals are more happy to talk about the future than others. And what they’ve decided to disclose suggests some big things are in line to happen further down the line…

10. Ant-Man And The Wasp

Everybody seems to forget that Infinity War is not the final Marvel film to come out this year. Nope, Ant-Man and the Wasp will hit screens in July where we will learn what Paul Rudd’s character has been up to since we saw him last in Civil War nearly two years ago.

And though Infinity War will likely have people reaching for the tissues, Ant-Man is expected to be the complete opposite. The first film, released back in 2015, made audiences chuckle throughout with Rudd typically brilliant after appearing in the likes of Friends, Role Models, Knocked Up and I Love You Man over the years. Put it this way, he was qualified to play the clumsy yet comedic Scott Lang.

Ant-Man and the Wasp will see Michael Douglas’ character Hank Pym return to orchestrate more crazy adventures and viewers will also be treated to seeing Evangeline Lilly’s Hope Pym suit up as the Wasp. It will also welcome another strong female superhero into the mix, something the MCU has been surprisingly short of so far. It’s still very much a mans world.

But Ant-Man could see that change…

Sport and Film. I love them both. And I'm extremely lucky to write about two of my biggest passions in life. Most of the time, I'm at the Daily Express newspaper writing about football, tennis and F1. But, when I'm out of there, I let my imagination run wild and pen down my thoughts on the film series' I love. WhatCulture gives me the chance to write about the movie industry - an industry I really care about. And for that, I'm extremely grateful. And hope you, if you're reading this, enjoy what I think about stuff.
