MCU: 12 Changes From The Comics That Were Completely Justified

4. The Vision's Origin

In the comicsm, Vision's mind is based on the brain patterns of Wonder Man, a superhuman character whose body was also used by Ultron when he was created. That would obviously have posed a problem in the MCU, as Wonder Man was never introduced (bar a cameo by his costume Iron Man 2), so they went with repurposing JARVIS, Iron Man's English-accented AI assistant.

It makes sense in the narrative of the MCU, as it more closely followed Tony Stark's Frankenstein-like arc. When he unwittingly created Ultron, he was flooded with creator guilt and JARVIS becoming Vision effectively re-established balance in that respect.

Also, having Vision empowered by an Infinity Stone again reinforces their world-changing powers and the importance they will play in the culmination of the Infinity Saga arc.
