12. First Look At Moon Knight
After a recap of the MCU’s 2021 on Disney+, the new sizzle reel finally got around to what the fans wanted. We’ve all already seen WandaVision, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, and What If…?, and as much as we loved them all, Disney+ Day was about teasing the future, not looking back at the past.
One of the most intriguing upcoming properties in the MCU is Moon Knight. With the excellent Oscar Isaac playing the titular role, opposite a villainous Ethan Hawke, and a unique character and story, this series has a lot to be excited about, as shown in the first footage.
First of all, it certainly seems darker than most anything in the MCU so far, with perhaps the exception of a handful of What If…? episodes. There are multiple bloody and battered victims of Marc Spector, and an ominous voiceover speaking of a devouring voice inside.
However, the biggest talking point so far is Oscar Isaac himself. Playing Spector, a character with a split personality, there are at least two sides to him that the actor will have to bring to life, and on first impressions, it looks like he is going to knock this out of the park.
