MCU: 14 Things You Learn Rewatching Captain America: Civil War
5. The Three-Way Fight Kicks ASS
In a movie defined by several really good set-pieces (the opening, the Romanian freeway chase, the airport...), the final threeway battle between Bucky, Cap and Iron Man is something else. It is brutal, choreographed brilliantly and rich in storytelling beyond a mere dust-up.
And there's surprising nuance in there too: Tony is not only fighting to the death (against Bucky), but he's also fighting to control but not really hurt Captain America. He still knows the distinction between the two and while both he and Cap flirt with losing control entirely (something that has ran through almost all of the MCU's stories so far), it's their restraint that ultimately makes them human.
You don't get that sort of subtlety in your usual punch-fests.
