For a short while after the release of Tron: Legacy, it seemed like Olivia Wilde was going to be the next big thing in Hollywood, though the fervour quickly cooled and she generally takes smaller, more unassuming roles these days.

However, she was offered the role of Gamora in Guardians of the Galaxy back in 2013, yet turned it down, leaving the floor open for Zoe Saldana to nab the part.

Would It Have Worked?: 100% yes. Wilde bears a strong physical resemblance to Saldana and it's easy to picture her in the Gamora makeup. Plus, she's sassy enough that she would have been an equally intriguing foil and love interest to Chris Pratt.

Nobody knows whether or not Wilde regrets turning this down, but she sure left a ton of money on the table.
