Well before making his debut on the big screen, Captain America was already a well-known superhero and was loved by many fans in the comic book world.

For the very few who don't know, Captain America is the alter-ego of Steve Grant Rogers, a feeble young man who wanted nothing more than to help his country during World War II. After being injected with a serum that provided him with superhuman abilities, Rogers went on to enlist in the military and was stronger and more powerful than any could have imagined.

Played perfectly by Chris Evans in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the Sentinel of Liberty has appeared in 11 movies to date, three of which are solo movies. Well, one - Civil War - is a major team-up, crossover affair, but still, Cap's name was centre-stage in the title. Either way, Rogers is considered to be one of the best characters in the MCU.
