MCU Fantastic Four: 10 Lessons Disney Need To Learn From Fant4stic

1. Don't Try To Tick Too Many Boxes

Striking the right balance between a fast pace and what to hone in on is something that this film misunderstood.

Not only did we get a group of young scientists becoming a superhero team, but we got cheap inclusivity jammed in there too. For instance the Storms were now people of colour, which was fine, but they wanted to keep Sue Storm Caucasian so she was adopted. Making changes like this should have massive impact on the narrative, but here they don't.

It felt as if the corporation was getting too much involved, by forcing in scenes or points that were never later developed.

You can't make Ben Grimm a victim of domestic abuse, Reed Richards so poor in the 21st century to be using a computer from the 20th, and the Storms fulfilling their niche demographic, without proper treatment.

If the movie doesn't have the incentive to integrate these in its story throughout they should be omitted.

So if Disney wants to retread this ground they better do it with reason.

Anything such as what was mentioned before should strengthen not only the story but the team's family dynamic also. So we can get a story that's relevant and have the four to symbolise that.
