MCU News: Is Jessica Jones In Disney+'s She-Hulk Series?
While the show may have intentions to utilise the character alongside She-Hulk, Hulk and the Abomination, this could also have to happen through a recast if Ritter's previous comments are to be believed. The actress stated back in 2019 during an interview with TV Line that she felt she did not need to revisit the character.
“Do I think I’ll play her again? I don’t think so,” Ritter said in the interview. “I feel like I’ve played her, you know? I feel really good about it. I feel good about closing the door.”
This casts some more doubt on the rumour, as Ritter believes she has closed the door on the character and is happy where things have left off. However, this does not mean that Marvel is finished with the character and the actress could just have easily changed her perspective since the show's cancellation.
What role Jones would play in the series is anyone's guess, with her role as a private investigator potentially playing into the legal aspect of the series. However, what is certain is that if Ritter's portrayal of the character is going to return alongside Tatiana Maslany's Jennifer Walters, we are certainly in for a treat and a series featuring two of the strongest female characters in the MCU.
She-Hulk will star Tatiana Maslany as Jennifer Walters, alongside Mark Ruffalo and Tim Roth. The series will be directed by Kat Coiro and Anu Valia and has no official release date.
