4. Actual Comic Book Style Magic

So far in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the powers that have been remotely magic-like have been specifically described by Thor as "one and the same" with science. Essentially, that means that the powers displayed by the likes of Loki only seem like magic to the characters on Earth because they utilise science beyond the understanding of what they are familiar with. The arrival of Doctor Strange could potentially change all that, with the character actually using the invocation of spells, spirits and demons to perform his powers - which would be awesome - but can anyone really see that happening? Marvel Studios are probably going to stick with convention when it comes to Doctor Strange and keep him grounded in science. His powers will likely be explained by saying that Strange studied and mastered things that nobody else on Earth - other than his master, the Ancient One - ever did, but that it is all merely a form of advanced science.
