6. Red Skull

Red Skull isn't dead in the Marvel Cinematic Universe - of that you can be sure. While he appeared to perish in Captain America: The First Avenger, what actually will have happened is that he was absorbed in to the Tesseract and transported across the universe - and it would be awesome to see him reappear. Some people actually theorised that Red Skull would return in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, in the guise of Alexander Pierce, but that turned out to be incorrect and he is yet to re-emerge in the Marvel Cinematic Universe at all. At some point in Phase 3, it would be really cool to see him again. Perhaps it could just be in a post-credits scene - maybe as part of a potential Masters of Evil teaser - whereby someone like Loki is speaking to an unseen character about a team-up and that character turns to the camera to reveal that he is Red Skull.
