MCU: Predicting 25 Movies Marvel Will Make After Phase 3

The Film

Though it has been suggested that Chris Evans might be done with the Cap character - and his contract situation would need some working on before anything else could happen - it's unlikely that Marvel will simply end the character.

They have two other characters who have also taken on the Captain America mantle in the comics - Falcon and Bucky - and it would be a smart move to introduce one of those as the first MCU legacy character. Even if it's just temporary while Steve Rogers "disappears".

Any Evidence?

Well, Sebastian Stan's contract length suggests he will be in the MCU longer than Chris Evans (assuming Marvel take up the options), so it would be strange if he didn't either take over as Cap or get his own series. And there have been some pretty persistent rumours that Cap will die (ever since Civil War was announced).

Any Groundwork?

Starting Civil War means we'll all expect to see Cap assassinated - and that might well come in Infinity War (a curve-ball that could shake things up rather than him being killed by Thanos), and of course we've seen shots of Bucky holding Cap's shield in very pointed scenes previously.
