He may not always have agreed with his fellow teammates, but the Captain was always willing to bury the hatchet so that they may all move on and come together to fight for the greater good.
Right from the moment in The Avengers where he and Tony Stark fought over what it was to be a hero, to the heartbroken look on his face when he realised how Thanos had been defeated - Chris Evans embodied all of the complexities that a person like Steve Rogers would have to endure, both as a symbol and a man.
Cap's role within keeping the team together was to be the leader, the one who wouldn't leave anybody behind. So with him now gone, and The Avengers divided once again, fans of the MCU are all asking who will be the next person to unite the team.
