With the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike continuing on, movie studios have begun to push back the release dates of some of their upcoming films. And one highly anticipated movie caught in the middle of this, is Deadpool 3.
Fans might now have to wait a little longer to see Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool and Hugh Jackman's Wolverine join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with talks of the movie being pushed from May 2024 to November 2024.
Those same fans have been eagerly looking forward to seeing Wade Wilson officially enter the MCU, and the R-rated superhero obviously isn't quite like the other characters seen so far in this shared universe. After going through experiments to cure himself of cancer, Wilson developed the ability to quickly heal. These powers, along with his wise-cracking attitude and martial arts expertise, have made Deadpool the perfect anti-hero.
Pooly-D might have lots of jokes, but he isn't the first in the MCU to supply the humour. Tony Stark, Scott Lang and Peter Quill have all managed to bring a bit of laughter into the serious business of saving the world.
