The Marvel Cinematic Universe's Avengers: Endgame marked the closure of an era for the franchise. Avengers: Endgame saw the conclusion of a story that was 11 years in the making.
The movie began as we saw what was left of Thanos successfully realising his dream. With half of our heroes gone we saw those left track down Thanos only to realise he had destroyed the Infinity Stones, leaving seemingly no way for them to bring back those who had gone.
It takes Scott Lang returning from the Quantum Realm five years later for a new plan to come to light. The group would navigate the Quantum Realm, effectively traveling through time, to find the Infinity Stones in the past and reverse Thanos' snap.
Of course, things don't go to plan when a Thanos from the past works out their plan and decides that life across the universe needed to be wiped out completely.
