MCU Theory: Will Ant-Man Appear In Captain Marvel?

2. Ant-Man's Quantum Realm Conundrum

As the post-credits for Ant-Man & The Wasp confirms, Hank Pym, Janet Van Dyne and Hope Van Dyne are all victims of Thanos' snap (and so is Luis, sadly), while Scott Lang is on a mission in the Quantum Realm collecting Quantum Energy. By the look of it, Scott is trapped without an opportunity to free himself like he did in the first movie.

Does that mean he's going to need to be rescued?

Or maybe he'll realise that the only way he can escape is to do what Janet Van Dyne warned him not to - to consciously seek out a "time vortex" and escape through it, in the hope that he can find his way back to his own time somehow. So there's a chance that he could go through one of those vortexes and find himself in the 1990s where he'll meet Captain Marvel, whose powers (which are incredible, we're led to believe) will somehow get him home to his own time.

Or - more likely - Marvel will find Ant-Man in the Quantum Realm when she travels there herself from the 90s (for a reason that won't be established until her own movie). Either way, the fact that we know she is tied fundamentally to that Realm and that she will probably go there in her own movie make her the most likely candidate to find him.

And since we've already been told that time doesn't matter in the Quantum Realm and now that there are "time vortexes" in there, there's no reason to wonder why a character in the 90s could access the same space as a character from 2018. It's all already set up.

Plus, we already know that Ant-Man is a key player in the events of Avengers 4 and he can't rightly do that from the Quantum Realm. So he has to get out. But how...?
