MCU Villain Battle Royale: Who Would Come Out On Top?

What a tasty match up this makes. Given Thanos’ motivations for his infinity quest in the comics, and the fact that Hela is the MCU’s Goddess of Death, many thought that they would be connected somehow before Infinity War came out. That proved not to be the case, but they certainly still make for an interesting pair.

Though Hela has immeasurable power, a necrosword to wield, and the motivation to kill anything that moves, she has never come up against someone like Thanos in the franchise before.

Her might would push Thanos, and she would certainly draw a lot more blood from him than Tony Stark did on Titan, and without so much effort exhausted, but she is not indestructible. In What If…?, Hela was defeated by the Collector, as demonstrated by his using of her necrosword against T’Challa. This was without any Infinity Stones.

Should Thanos have the mind to use just one or two of his stones, he would overcome Hela, though not without taking far more punishment and pain than he is used to. So long as he avoids falling in love with Mistress Death as he did in the source material, the win is his for the taking.
