Megan Fox Is April O'Neil In Michael Bay's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!
Has Megan Fox realised that she actually needs Michael Bay to stay relevant in the movie industry? Her blockbuster days seemed to be curtailed for a while after the epically disastrous Jonah Hex and she's spent the last few years making small, almost insignificant appearances in films like Judd Apatow's This is 40 and Friends With Kids, whilst her career rapidly drifted into the abyss. But the director who originally made her a big star is giving her a reprieve and the bad blood between the unreasonable filmmaker (didn't she once compare him to a Nazi?) and the recalcitrant star from the fallout of 2008's Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen, which led to Fox's premature exit from the franchise, seems to have now been resolved. Funny how that happens when there is money to be made in a partnership! Michael Bay says on his official website;
"TMNT: we are bringing Megan Fox back into the family!"There's very few classic characters Fox could play in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles universe, so presumably she'll be reporter April O'Neil, the one human friend to those heroes in a half-shell (Variety have now confirmed she will be April). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SNcfFGKws2Q Fox officially becomes the first cast member on board the CGI-hybrid movie which is expected to begin filming in April. The voice cast behind Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello and Raphael as well as their master Splinter has yet to be revealed. And yes, perhaps significant is that Michael Bay has called his own movie "TMNT" which would indicate that plans to officially title it "Ninja Turtles" has been scrapped, and hopefully so too is the extraterrestrial origin idea which fans crapped on when an early script was leaked. We can only hope. With all this talk of Bay we should remember that he is only producing this movie... Battle: Los Angeles and Wrath of the Titans helmer Jonathan Liebesman is behind the camera, working from a screenplay from Josh Appelbaum, Andrew Nemec, Art Marcum, Matt Holloway and John Fusco. It is scheduled for a release May 14th, 2014.
