Michael Keaton to voice Ken Doll in TOY STORY 3

BEETLEJUICE to play Barbie's boyfriend!

Michael Keaton who lent us voice to Pixar's 2006 movie Cars, has signed on for Toy Story 3. He will be voicing the "Ken Doll", Barbie's boyfriend, in the Summer 2010 release which is to be directed by Toy Story 2 co-helmer Lee Unkrich. The character of Barbie will also be in the film, once again voiced by Jodi Benson (who leaked this news) after previously voicing Tour Guide Barbie in the last film. I'm not quite sure what the production status of the film is right now, I did think that Tom Hanks had returned to voice Woody months ago but that might not be the case if this casting of Keaton is recent. You have to believe if it's going to hit it's June 2010 release then they must have filmed something by now. The movie will see Woody and the Gang dumped in a day-care center as Andy heads off to college. Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack, John Ratzenberger, Wallace Shawn, Don Rickles, Estelle Harris all return. Unrick is directing from Andrew Stanton's (Wall*E) pitch which was transformed into a script from Little Miss Sunshine's Michael Arndt. Keaton is a great comedian and most definitely has the attitude to carry off Ken in Pixar's universe. Good, good casting. source - iesb
