11. The Hallway Render Trick (Ghost Protocol)

The fourth movie, Ghost Protocol, ramps the outlandish technology up to some hilarious levels, perhaps most memorably when Ethan and Benji (Simon Pegg) infiltrate the Kremlin.

While attempting to pass through a hallway, the pair hide behind a projection screen, which uses a camera to create a render of the hallway behind them and match the perspective to the security guard's eyes.

It's an extremely creative and brilliantly directed sequence, with its emphasis on silence and suspense, alongside small bursts of comedy (namely when Benji accidentally stands in front of the camera lens).

Naturally the tech fails when several security guards enter the room at once and the camera can't decide which perspective to adopt, so it spazzes out and Ethan and Benji's cover is blown. What a scene, though.
