Monsters University: 10 Easter Eggs You Might Have Missed

9. A113 Is A Classroom Again

MONSTERS UNIVERSITY Next to Pixar€™s more famous recurring easter egg (number five on this list), A113 used to be pretty unknown. The classroom number at CalArts where John Lasseter and the rest of the Pixar brain tank learned about animation has appeared in every Pixar film since Toy Story. A few die hards noticed it, but the overly hidden nature meant it wasn€™t as well known as other in-jokes. That was until Wall-E, when A113 was in a more focal point - it€™s the directive to never return to Earth. Since then awareness of this joke has gone through the roof, but it€™s appearance in Monsters U may have slipped by some. When Jimmy Sullivan€™s first introduced in the film, interrupting the eager Mike€™s speech, the door to the classroom Scaring 101 is taking place in is A113. Given this is when we first meet Sully in the film, it€™s not what audiences were focusing on. What makes it's appearance here particular nice is that we get to see A113 as the brain tank got to see it; as a classroom.
