Any Supernatural fans who are reading this will probably jump for joy at the notion of Dean Winchester taking on the part of Johnny Cage, and for a good reason. Ackles is a skilled performer with plenty of experience in action and comedy, those being the critical components to the character.

The actor behind Dean Winchester has everything going for him, Hollywood leading man looks, a great sense of humour and a brilliant ability to have chemistry with his co-stars. Seeing him enter the fray in MK 2 would feel incredibly appropriate, and there's no doubt that he'd fit like a glove.

Plus, Ackles has a very prominent voice that commands the room thanks to how deep and booming it is, meaning that he'd be grabbing attention even in regular dialogue scenes, which is exactly what Johnny loves to do.

He seems primed for a jump to the big screen, and this would be a great career option for him as the physical side of the part is already in his wheelhouse, and it's a familiar yet vastly different role to what viewers have seen from him.
