Naomi Watts crying in FUNNY GAMES poster

The trailer for FUNNY GAMES didn't work for me. There's always something about directors remaking their own material which just kinda puts me off the whole thing. It happened with George Sluizer's awesome THE VANISHING and I think it might happen here. FUNNY GAMES, a remake of Michael Haneke's decade old Austrian flick of the same name, is about two psychotic young men played by Michael Pitt and Brady Corbet who take a couple (Naomi Watts & Tim Roth) and their son (Devon Gearhart) as hostage in their own home. It's yet another movie that plays on the home invasion or family under threat situation we have seen recently with DEATH SENTENCE, THE BRAVE ONE and the upcoming Ben Affleck movie GONE BABY GONE. New poster is below which I found at AICN via Cinematical. I dig it quite a bit, there's a nice stillness in Naomi Watts' face which works well for this kind of extreme close-up. Not looking forward to the movie and I won't be seeing it until it hits on DVD, but fine job with the poster...
