Naomi Watts to star in We Are All the Same

sgs-000163.jpgNaomi Watts is set to star in an adaptation of Jim Wooten's 2004 novel We Are All the Same for the studio Bureau of Moving Pictures. More info from Variety...
"Hotel Rwanda" co-writer Keir Pearson is adapting the story of Gail Johnson, a white South African woman who adopted a black child with AIDS, then traveled the world with the child to raise awareness about his plight.
Watts was of course Oscar nominated for her role in 21 Grams back in 2003 and with one of the scribes of Hotel Rwanda working on this flick, the potential is there for her to go one better and actually win the statue with this film. After all, the Academy loves this kind of serious material.
