Never Forget, Never Forgive.... Sweeney Todd poster!

I love the tale of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber from Fleet Street. Victorian horror is right up my alley... tales of people like Jack the Ripper and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde are part of my literary fodder and when a talented director and crew are working on re-telling the tale cinematically, I get excited. The movie follows the infamous barber Sweeney Todd who uses a sharp razor blade to cut the throats of his victims, the remains of which are put into pies by his murderous wife Mrs. Lovett. Remember it's a Tim Burton movie so Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter are of course the two leads but there's some interesting supporting roles to for Alan Rickman, Timothy Spall annd even Sacha Baron Cohen. Love the look of Johnny Depp as Todd and Tim Burton always makes movies that are interesting and sometimes just spectacular. I just got a Burton biography for my birthday and I'm looking forward to reading up about his early 90's work where he was truly on top of his game and this truly looks to be his visually darkest film since Sleepy Hollow.
