8 New Actors Who Can Save Marvel Phase 3

1. Chadwick Boseman

A welcome break from Marvel's traditional line of handsome boring white dudes, Chadwick Boseman should bring some style back to a lineup that was starting to look more and more vanilla. Boseman is set to play the Black Panther in an upcoming solo film and in Civil War. Boseman, who looks awfully young for is 38 years, has proven he has what it takes to carry a film. In 42 he showed the stoic hero-like charisma that has become a trademark for classic characters like Thor and the Captain. And in Get On Up he proved he has the swagger to entertain an audience, a la Chris Pratt. But as the Black Panther he won't have the same level of recognition as he did when playing James Brown and Jackie Robinson. That will be a challenge no doubt but Boseman is up to the task. As actors like Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth get ready to leave the MCU Marvel will need new charismatic stars to take their place. They've already locked down Chris Pratt and possibly Paul Rudd, but successfully adding Boseman will help ensure success for years to come.
