1. Jane Levy
Jane Levy is mostly known for her role on the sitcom Suburgatory, where she plays Tessa Altman, a New York teenager who is uprooted by her father to the suburbs. Earlier this year in the remake of Sam Raimi's The Evil Dead, Levy showed her dramatic chops as Mia, a drug addict whose friends are putting her through detox at an abandoned cabin in the woods. When one of them reads from the Book of the Dead, Mia becomes possessed by a demon. Seeing Levy in this role comes as shock to anyone at least partially familiar with her role on Suburgatory. I think Levy pulled off this role with aplomb and vigor and for me, it was a star making performance. Like Alison Brie and Shannon Woodward, I'd like to see more of Levy on the big screen. Her scenes in Evil Dead as the possessed Mia are a great example of how Levy could pull off a Harley that would work in a Batman film. Particularly one drawing inspiration from the Nolan Batman films in crafting a dark and gritty universe that doesn't stray too far in to the campy side, a la Joel Schumacher. I'm just imagining Jevy's demon makeup design from Evil Dead except with bleached white skin and her cooing lines like "Mr. J" and "Puddin'"- and it just makes me think she'd be awesome in the role.
