9. Lex Luthor: Mayor of Gotham
With Gotham City all but completely destroyed in the wake of Banes attack, Gothams citizens would undoubtedly be looking to a public figure to repair the damage. This is the sort of thing that makes Lex Luthors brain-box whir into overdrive. Despite him being a Superman villain, if Warner Bros. were ever going to expand their movie universe in light of a Justice League movie, for me, thisd be a perfect way to do it. With Luthor campaigning for Mayor, you could perhaps have Wayne returning to Gotham to run as his opposition after smelling something fishy. This lends itself nicely to Nolans emphasis on realism: half the drama could be set during the campaign trail; the other half when Lexs inevitable plot starts to come to fruition and sh*t starts getting blowed up. And, again in the light of a Justice League movie (and it's potential sequels), this would be an almost effortless and believable way of getting in a Man of Steel reference, maybe even a cameo.
