New Brad Pitt Images From Cogan's Trade

First looks also at Ray Liotta, James Gandolfini & Richard Jenkins from Andrew Dominik's mob heist thriller.

With still no release date announced (although IMDB do list a June 2012 bow in Sweden before slowly rolling out in other Scandinavian countries) or a trailer yet shown, Andrew Dominik's mob heist movie Cogan's Trade is still something of a mystery for us, even though the film wrapped last summer. Which is all perfectly fine, of course. I would love to go into the cinema and watch it tomorrow knowing only that it's the first film from Dominik since 2008's poetic masterpiece The Assassination of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford and one that reunites him with lead Brad Pitt. That's all I would need to know and keeping it a mystery works for me. Cogan's Trade casts Pitt as Jackie Cogan, €œa professional enforcer who investigates a heist that went down during a mob-protected poker game€ believed to have been perpetrated by two junkies played by Scoot McNairy and Ben Mendelsohn. Described as a more serious €˜Ocean€™s Eleven€™ and featuring a more sinisterly dark and humorous tone than his previous Western, Dominik€™s movie co-stars Ray Liotta (the hustler Mark €œMarkie€ Trattman in charge of the game), Richard Jenkins (a lawyer in the know), James Gandolfini (a washed up hitman), Vincent Curatola (as an ex-convict seeking revenge) with additional roles for Sam Shephard and Bella Heathcote. The film is based on George V. Higgins' obscure novel of the same name and thankfully we have some new images to share, two of which you have already seen above and some more below, including a better resolution of a previously released image; The Weinstein have distribution rights on the film which has been in post-production for six months (which is nothing compared to 'Jesse James' but you know, its a long time) and I just wonder if this one will end up in Cannes. source - Kinopoisk
